We have to face a new phase for the agrifood sector defined by demographic changes, digital technology, climate change, as well as poverty and unequal distribution of resources.
For this purpose, an event known as Smart Agrifood Summit will take place on 20 and 21 June at FYCMA, the Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Málaga (Spain). Some of the objectives are to create a meeting point between innovative ideas and funding access, promote cooperation among institutions in R+D projects and get to know the latest technologies in the agrifood value chain presented by rapidly growing startups in the new digital economy.
Among the participants, there will be agricultural entities developing crops and livestock, universities and research organizations, and companies in the food and agriculture industry that use technology.
